Redefining Public Transit
When you think of public transportation, what comes to mind? Maybe you think of long commutes, inaccessible bus stops, limited routes, unsanitary spaces, inconvenience when planning your errands or commutes, or maybe you’ve just never thought of public transit as something meant for you.
At the Blue Bus, we hear these concerns. And we’re working every day to change them. Because with the Blue Bus, public transit looks a little different.
Here’s what we often hear and how we’re working to make your experience better.
“The buses aren’t clean.”
Our team takes pride in maintaining a clean, comfortable ride. Buses are regularly cleaned, and our drivers and facilities staff are committed to making sure each vehicle is welcoming for every rider, every time.
“The buses don’t go where I need them to.”
We’re always evaluating our routes based on community needs and feedback. Whether it’s getting to work, school, the grocery store or your next medical appointment, the Blue Bus can get you there. And if not, we want to hear about it.

“Using the bus won’t save me money.”
Blue Bus fixed-routes are completely fare-free, and our MyBlue™ on-demand rideshare service is only $1 per trip. No passes, no tokens, no fees, just hop on and go. That means serious savings on gas, parking and vehicle maintenance.
“The bus stop is too far away.”
With stops throughout rural and tribal communities, we aim to make transit accessible even in hard-to-reach areas. And if you’re in need of more personalized service, our MyBlue™ door-to-door service is available in four service areas: Taos, Española, Edgewood and Pojoaque/Nambé.
